College of Information Technology

About College

The faculty of Information Technology was established in 2001 as one of the faculties of Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) which specializes in two main fields: Computer Science and Information Systems. It moves towards achieving tremendous information revolution and preparing distinguished human cadres on the Arab and national level.

Furthermore, the faculty is very keen for its effective participation in the promising information sophistication as this field of technology has a real impact on developing the personal capacities, widening the mental horizons, and raising the humans’ ability of thinking, discussing and arguing.

In response to the overwhelming demand of Information Technology (IT) Professionals throughout the world, the faculty of Information Technology in MUST is providing the educational environment to help the students in developing the theoretical groundwork and applied skills needed to pursue careers as IT professionals in computing, software development, manufacturing, service, public and other business sectors.
It is overall philosophy of the faculty to offer a curriculum that is focused not only on theoretical work but also on the practical aspects of the technology itself.

It is very tangible that the faculty of Information Technology cares about the hiring of prominent figures of the teaching staff who have solid knowledge together with theoretical and applied experience. They are capable of exploiting the available resources for sustaining the educational skills, estimating the students’ standard, preparing and developing the courses and administrating the educational process for achieving the goals in the best way exactly as internationally organized.

A total of 140 credit hours are to be completed for Graduation.
